HMDA has opened a new, beautiful park for public in Necklace Road near Hussain Sagar Lake. It is called “Lake Front Park” and it is located near PV Narashima Rao Marg or Necklace road on the Hussain Sagar.
HMDA has also made car parking arrangement adjacent to the park, making it easier for visitors to come and visit this scenic park. There is no car parking fee for now, and it is hardly 3 to 4 mins walking distance to the Park’s entrance. If you are coming on 2-wheeler, you will be able to park on the pavement, next to the entrance.
Tickets for an adult is priced at Rs. 50. However, if you come as a family, then you need to pay only Rs. 100 upto 5 members. Also, if you live close-by, you can opt for morning walking monthly pass, which is priced at just Rs. 100 for a month. Though the park is open from 5 am, only morning walker are allowed till 9 am. general public can visit the park from 9 am till 11:30 pm.
As you enter the park, you will be greeted by a picture perfect scene of lush green lawns, brightly colored walkways, good amount of plants, walking tracks and seating areas for relaxing. This park is spread over 10 acres and it is an ideal place to spend an evening along with family and friends.
The major highlight is the two scenic viewpoints overseeing Hussain Sagar. From here, you will be able to see Ambedkar statue, new secretariat and the India flag,
Visitor come here and enjoy the scene and to take pics and selfies with their loved ones.
The best time to visit this park is during the evening, where you can enjoy the day time view as well as the breath taking night view, with all the illuminations.
We could see a lot of families siting on the lawn and spending time with their loved one, but please be informed that outside food is not allowed inside. However, there is Karachi Cafe where you can get snacks, cakes and beverages. You can even buy a cake from Karachi Cafe and have a small birthday celebration over there with your friends.
In fact, there is also a facility of organizing family events such as small get-togethers and birthdays at Rs. 11,000 for a full day upto 100 members gathering with prior booking.
Lake Front Park is a must visit place in Hyderabad, for those who are interested in nature and its beauty. If you have small kids, you should definitely come and cherish the beautiful moments.
